A letter from the Community Affairs Office

The Sylvania Township Police Department is dedicated to providing the highest level of service possible to our community. We actively try to improve and maintain the safety and security of our residents and their property. We affect this, in part, by maintaining high visibility patrols in our residential as well as business communities. But in truth, we cannot be everywhere.

Our success in addressing problems and issues that are important to you, begins with you. We ask that you partner with us by calling to inform us of suspicious persons, and/or activities that you witness in your neighborhoods and in the course of your travels within Sylvania Township. By acting as additional eyes and ears, you help us more effectively direct our efforts to make Sylvania Township a safe and enjoyable place to live and work.

As a police department, we feel that it is not only our duty to protect our citizens, but to educate them as well. It is the mandate of the Community Affairs Office to provide information and materials that will assist you in making your home, your person and your family safer.
